At the prestigious 2025 Maritime UK Awards, Carnival UK has been named a Champion for our commitment to belonging and inclusion – a powerful recognition of our unwavering commitment to creating a workplace where everyone feels welcome, valued, and empowered to thrive.
The award celebrates the collective efforts of our teams across ship and shore; from inclusive recruitment practices and employee-led networks to industry partnerships and leadership development.
“This award is a testament to the incredible work of our colleagues who champion inclusion every day,” said Rosy Elstone, Culture Director at Carnival UK. “We’re proud to be shaping a culture where everyone can be their authentic selves, contribute their best, and feel a true sense of belonging.”
Our win reflects the strength of initiatives like our global female-led recruitment roadshow, which helped boost the number of women joining our Cunard fleet and our mentoring programme providing support to women at sea, alongside inclusive hiring practices, partnerships with organisations like WiHTL (Women in Hospitality, Travel and Leisure), and our employee-led networks and communities.
Collecting the award on behalf of Carnival UK, Nicola Robinson, Superintendent Riding Teams, shared: “It was a real pinch-me moment. I’m so proud to be part of a company that’s helping make the maritime industry more progressive.”
This latest accolade builds on a growing list of recognition for our belonging and inclusion focusses, including the Bronze Inclusive Employers Standard 2024 and the Maritime UK Solent Diversity Champion Award 2024.
As an employer of choice in the maritime industry, we know that when our people feel seen, heard, and supported, they can do their best work. Whether it’s designing unforgettable holidays, delivering exceptional service on board, or supporting our operations behind the scenes, our colleagues bring their whole selves to work and it shows.
We’re proud of this recognition and even prouder of the inclusive culture we’re building together.
