Technology

Technology is part of Carnival UK’s Shared Services team, and we support colleagues ashore, alongside colleagues and guests on board P&O Cruises and Cunard ships. This includes ensuring onboard applications and infrastructure enable a fantastic guest experience, leading on shoreside tools and technologies.

Collaborating regularly with colleagues in our North American and European sister brands we draw on a diverse mix of skills across architecture, strategy and digital, infrastructure and operations, information security, compliance and risk, portfolio management, planning and governance.

As we navigate 2024 and beyond, our long-term vision for Technology is to enable Carnival UK to grow, evolve and transform by continually helping the business to innovate through the application of leading digital technologies. Over the course of the next 5 years, we will significantly transform our IT estate and accelerate delivery of our digital ambitions.

As a result, we’ll:

  • Delight our guests with truly personalised and unforgettable holidays, with exceptional service every time.
  • Support our stakeholders and colleagues to fulfil their roles with effective technology.
  • Have a reputation for solving tomorrow’s problems, in turn making Technology a great place to work.
“Technology sits at the centre of helping colleagues create unforgettable holiday happiness – there isn’t an initiative, project or operation that doesn’t rely on us for support and direction.

– We support and enrich the guest journey in many direct and indirect ways – from simple research to satellite internet connectivity.
– We work with teams across ship and shore to operate and improve not only the systems our business relies on, but the processes they use and data they need.
– Increasingly we are the single touch point for everything our business is becoming.

As a vital part of our business, it’s our ambition to be recognised as a valued and trusted team that positively impact the guest and colleague experience. This will drive us to deliver our priorities and short time objectives right now, as well as set our course to lead the way for the future.”
