Who We Are

Holidays are one of life’s greatest pleasures. Having the chance to relax, escape and explore is a magical thing. And there’s no better holiday than a cruise…

Carnival UK_28.06.22_P024302_2689
Carnival UK is part of Carnival Corporation, the biggest travel and leisure company in the world. You might know us better by our brands – Cunard and P&O Cruises. We create unforgettable happiness for our guests by providing extraordinary cruise holidays, while honouring the integrity of every ocean we sail, place we visit and life we touch.

We’re a community of mariners and memory-makers, and we couldn’t do what we do without our inspiring leaders and the diverse skills of our colleagues. Empowering each other to do our best work, we set high expectations and have clear visibility of how our achievements impact business results. By sharing the same purpose – to create unforgettable holiday happiness – we know where we’re going and we trust each other to get there.

Our head office is in Southampton where almost 2,000 colleagues fill our ships with guests, design our product, make sure that our ship’s stores are fully stocked and chart a course across the oceans.

We recognise the value in having people with a variety of backgrounds, experience and skills in our business. That means the role requirements on our vacancies should be seen as a guide, not a checklist. If you have more, less or different experiences, but really relevant skills, we’d love to hear from you.

Our culture

Working with us means you’ll be part of a tight-knit but truly diverse global team of passionate people.  You’ll be supported to drive your development, from formal learning to the life lessons of worldwide travel.  We believe in inclusion and the power of diversity, so you’ll be encouraged to bring your unique perspectives and experiences, and help us understand what you need to do your best work.

Our Culture Essentials set clear expectations for us all. These and our purpose; to create unforgettable holiday happiness, are daily reminders of the incredible experiences we create on board. To stay closely connected to these we enjoy our own happiness ashore with fun and immersive events that bring the cruise experience to life. Our relaxed office atmosphere encourages collaboration and creativity, with hybrid and flexible working enabling opportunities for personal and professional projects.

Our diverse yet tight knit teams share high standards, heartfelt values and passion for our purpose. Guided by our Culture Essential expectations, our quarterly awards recognise those who go above and beyond. Our annual winner, chosen by colleagues, wins their own holiday happiness; a two-week cruise! We also recognise long service and spotlight personal and professional development. And at our quarterly and end of year all-company events, we gather to celebrate our achievements.

P&O Cruises

P&O Cruises is Britain’s biggest cruise line and has been part of Carnival Corporation & PLC for over 20 years.

No other cruise line serves more British holidaymakers on cruises out of the UK. We know and love travel. That’s why guests can trust us to provide unbelievable holiday experiences.

Our amazing crew is proud to welcome our guests on board for holidays of a lifetime all across the world, combining cruise ship experiences and adventures on shore.

We’re proud to say that two in every three guests choose to sail with us again and we continue to win awards, voted for by guests and our travel agent partners.

We’ve seven spectacular ships in our fleet, each with their own appeal and itineraries. Whether it’s our family-friendly ships or those exclusively for adults, larger or a little more modest, packed with fleet favourites or some unique fleet exclusives, each ship has something for everyone.

Cunard

Cunard’s fleet comprises four wonderful ships: Queen Mary 2, Queen Elizabeth, Queen Victoria, and Queen Anne. Each is grand in scale, with her own distinct personality and feel, and stylish down to the tiniest detail – the perfect setting for visiting favourite destinations or exploring new lands.

A Cunard ship feels like another world, yet is also as welcoming as home. From the very first greeting at embark to the way each stateroom steward greets guests by name, we believe great service is warm and sincere – it isn’t stuffy or hurried. It’s always friendly, but never over familiar.

Our voyages span the length and breadth of the globe and range from three nights to three months. Each offers ample opportunity to discover the unrivalled sense of freedom and possibility found on board, and the fascinating destinations and cultures guests and colleagues can explore.

Good day at CUK

Capture
What makes a good day is different for everyone, so we’ve a range of resources to hand. From a network of Mental Health First Aiders, and online wellbeing hub, to in-house Occupational Health services and Employee Assistance and Wellbeing programmes, people are supported with what’s most important to them. Colleagues can also focus on personal priorities with fertility, parental and adoption leave; health cash plan; health assessment; digital GP; pension scheme, and shares plan.

Our employee-led networks – Athena (gender balance), Spectrum (LGBT+ & Friends), m’power (disabilities and health conditions) and REACH (Race Ethnicity and Cultural Heritage) – alongside our community network; MVP (Military Veterans and Partners), champion diversity, equity and inclusion at Carnival UK by raising awareness and driving positive change.

We enjoy hybrid working and our fantastic Southampton-based head office – Carnival House – is just a short stroll from the city centre and cruise terminals. With an onsite restaurant offering healthy cooked and grab and go meals, Carnival House also features architect-designed collaboration spaces, tech-smart meeting rooms and bookable independent workstations, plus a huge atrium that hosts events and live performances. And our ships regularly sail past our windows; quite the sight to see!
