Last night we had the pleasure of hosting an unforgettable evening at Carnival House in partnership with WISTA UK and CLIA, marking the International Day for Women in Maritime.
The event brought together an inspiring group of maritime professionals, cadets, and advocates to celebrate the achievements of women in our industry and to discuss the future of gender diversity at sea though powerful keynote speeches and a thought-provoking panel discussion. We were also thrilled to see so many enthusiastic cadets in attendance—our future leaders—engaging in meaningful conversations and sharing their aspirations..
A special thank you to our very own Louise Sara, Fleet Captain and Director of Maritime Standards at Carnival Corporation, for her leadership and unwavering commitment to championing women in maritime. Louise’s work with the Women Officers Network continues to create vital spaces for connection, mentorship, and empowerment across our fleet.
“Women in maritime are a force to be reckoned with,” Louise Sara shared, and we couldn’t agree more!
Thank you to everyone who joined us and to our partners at WISTA UK and CLIA for helping make this event such a success. Let’s continue to support, uplift, and create opportunities for women at sea and ashore.
